Huge unified geometric Organ (H.U.G.O.) - Installation - 2014

presented as part of the exhibition Panorama 16

Installation

Our reality is constructed of bits and pieces perceived by our senses. Forms, signs, visual patterns, rhythms and musical motives are talking to us and shape our world.

Loosely connected figures form an organic structure, a lichen, which is starting to sense its environment. Interacting with its surrounding world, parasitically feeding from its sonic and electromagnetic waves. The work is an evolutionary process in geometry. Consisting of twelve metallic objects, which are altering from one to another. A play of forms, trying out possibilities of the not yet achieved. Categorization, the speciation of geometrical shapes. The search for liveliness in mathematics, stochastics and chance. Twisted energies in rigid concepts. Pushing from the ordered into the organic. Forms become gestures, noises change to tones and phonemes. This entity tries to communicate with its environment. Will may be misunderstood. The silliness of a being trying to comprehend. Step by step exploring the world it’s living in.

This audiovisual installation is a projection of virtual ideas into the real world. Abstract ideas which form solid objects and lead to an intelligent process of sound and light. Pointing in all the directions of our ever expanding reality.
