Discorde isa film written by several hands.
The writing process took place in Seine-Saint-Denis, in the neighbourhood where I grew up. The issue of representation is a complex one here: media images and systemic racism have tainted our imagination of the area and the people who live there, at the same time depriving them of their own image.
The script was developed with a group of friends living in the neighbourhood. One of them, Antonio, drifted away from the group. Using the principle of the cadavre exquis, each member of the group successively invents the twists and turns of a tale in which a strange illness plunges him into a coma.
