DARIN 1.0 - Installation - 2024

presented as part of the exhibition Panorama 26

DARIN 1.0 is an immersive installation that explores the profound interaction between digital reincarnation and human emotion, influenced by Buddhist philosophy 🧘‍♂️. This project was born out of a personal event, the loss of my little sister Darin, which made me want to envisage her spirit in a digital continuation 🌐. Through a combination of 3D modelling and sculptures with animated mannequins, the installation brings her presence to life as an avatar in a synthetic landscape, encouraging viewers to contemplate the essence of existence and the cyclical nature of life and rebirth as suggested by Buddhism.

The installation incorporates four musical compositions 🎶 that resonate with different themes, with each piece symbolising a facet of the soul’s journey through karma and transformation. These elements work together with the partial movements of the mannequins, orchestrating a physical and auditory representation of the soul’s dance between the real and virtual worlds 💃🕺.
