In Martinique, a curse is placed on the men, who keep disappearing. Young friends meet to discuss their relationship with the island.
Aliha Thalien
Born in Paris in 1994, Aliha Thalien lives and works in Seine Saint-Denis. She has a master’s degree in film from the Sorbonne and a DNSAP from the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris. In the course of these twin studies have she developed a practice of film, installation and sculpture based around language and memory. Her work has since been shown at several international film festivals and exhibitions. In 2019, she directed her first short film Feu Soleil, which was selected for the Rencontres du moyen-métrage de Brive and La Cabina in Valencia. She directed Mon amie Moïrain 2021 and in 2023 Nos Îles, which won two awards at the FID Marseille.
