François Pisapia
Born in 1990 in Montreal (Canada)
François Pisapia (b. Montréal, 1990) is an artist living in Berlin. He creates frameworks for collaboration through lens-based media, performance and publications, as well as through curated events and exhibitions. Pisapia completed design studies at Concordia University (Montréal) and graduated from the Städelschule Art Academy (Frankfurt). His work has been shown at the Kunstverein Siegen, the Haus am Waldsee (Berlin), the Centre for Contemporary Arts (Glasgow), the Millenium Film Workshop (New York) and more. Since 2019 he co-curates *Fool Moon Screenings* with José Segebre, a series of events centred around moving image, good food and the moon; and since 2022 he works with the queer archiving collective ASCHE, currently finalizing a catalogue and artist book about the cult-classic film *Flaming Ears* (1992) co-réalisé par Ursula Pürrer qui joue également dans son film.
