Saro Dessardo was born in 1999 and lives and works between France and Belgium. In 2024, she graduated from La Cambre in Brussels with a degree in drawing. Using film, site-specific installations, writing, video and drawing, Saro’s work focuses on encounters and shared stories. Her narratives dwell on the way we look at places, memories and the almost magical situations that inhere in them. Born in Montreuil, France, Lory Glenn began his artistic studies at the École Duperré in Paris, where he studied fashion. This was also a period of engagement in various social movements. The protests against France’s “Global Securiy” act led him to reflect on the image as a tool for protest, as a result of which he reoriented his artistic practice and studied video art at the ERG (École de recherche graphique) in Brussels. There he explored his new practice and pursued his reflections on the image. His first film, *Sécurise tes images : détruis-les*, was screened at over a dozen festivals and institutions, notably at the Cinéma du réel festival in Paris, Argos in Brussels, and the Côté court festival in Pantin, where it won the Grand Prix Essai Art-Vidéo. Saro and Lory met in Brussels and found that they shared a desire to work collaboratively across different artistic media. *Out of Sight* is the first film they have made together.
